 Send a message

Advent 2 DecGod sent Mary an important message by sending an angel.  Why not send a card to someone you haven’t seen for a while or someone who is in need at the moment, maybe they are feeling lonely.  A card to let them know you are thinking of them will cheer them up.

ANGEL APPEARS TO MARY

The angel said to her, “Don’t be afraid, Mary; God has shown you his grace.  Listen! You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.

Start of Advent

Advent 3 Dec

The word “advent” means “coming”.  It is a time in church for us to prepare for Christmas and to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.  Every Sunday we will light a candle from the advent wreath, each one has a special meaning.

Today the first purple candle will be lit,  It is known as the Prophets Candle and symbolises expectation and hope.

Planning your Visit

A WARM HELLO

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

Our Sunday Services start at 10.30am, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to allow time to meet our welcome team and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you will be given a welcome leaflet which gives a brief outline of Enfield Baptist Church, along with a “stay in touch” card, we would encourage you to complete this and hand it back to one of the team.
